c u next year

Kate is having a looonggg holiday. Not the longest she has ever had though. But this time it is still enough to have some trips ... to Jakarta and Cimahi of course, and probably Bogor ...

Ooh ... we miss all of you over there a lot ...

Shopping is done, packing is done (thank you, Daddy)...
Our flight is less than four hours away. Hope we didn't leave anything behind.
Hmm ... actually we left something, er, someone very important. We will miss you a lot, Dad.

Note: there will be no new entry from Mum this coming December ...
C U next year ...

(not) a good friday

Yesterday Mum and Kate went to Singapore EXPO, for Asian Children's EXPO. Our main aim was to get the free paperpunch gift set :D. Kate really loves "playing" with paper and the tools (glue, scissors, scotch tape, stapler, etc).

But we didn't only get the paperpunch, we also got this:

Could you guess who is in that picture? Yes, it is Kate, drawn by one nice guy at one of the booths. We also bought a set of Mandarin learning software. Hopefully it would help Kate (and mum, too :D) in learning Mandarin. Kate was having fun, trying some software and seeing this and that.

Unfortunately we didn't have so much time to spend there, because Kate has primary school orientation in the afternoon. So, we went straight to school by MRT. But somehow, Kate left her ez-link card inside the train :(

And at school .... the orientation was supposed to be for new pupils as well as their parents ... but somehow Mum missed the orientation (Kate didn't) and almost missed the re-registration as well :(
Now ... Mum doesn't know what time she needs to send Kate to school after the holiday!! What else did she miss?? *help*

kindergarten

taman yang paling indah, hanya taman kami
taman yang paling indah, hanya taman kami
tempat bermain, berteman banyak
itulah taman kami, taman kanak kanak

That is a kindergarten song (in Indonesia) that Mum and Dad used to sing when they were in kindergarten, more than 25 years ago.

How about Kate? Yes, she really does enjoy her kindergarten years: two and half years in Bangkok and 3 terms in Singapore.

And today is her last day in this uniform:

Yes, she has finished her years in kindergarten. We should celebrate it, shouldn't we?

The school has organized the celebration last Saturday, which was called: "Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony cum Children's Variety Show"

And Kate was very happy being a part of it. Here she was in "Melody of Love".

And this was Kate's "speech" before all the participants sang one of the closing-songs.

"We would like to dedicate this song to all
Daddies and Mummies.

Thank you for showing us your love,

sacrifice your precious time,

working days and nights,

to provide and care for us.

We are proud of both of you.

We love you, Daddy and Mummy."

Thank you, sweetheart. We both are proud of you, too.

Congratulations!

Hope you will enjoy your next grade as much as you enjoy your kindergarten.

my little chef

After helping Mum to cook, this little chef got very hungry ... she even forgot to take off the apron.

Enjoy your spaghetti, My Little Chef ...
