another sand castle

Today we decided to play with the sand again. The weather was so nice. We left home quite late and having lunch on the way to bus stop. We need to change bus at HarbourFront Bus Interchange to get to Sentosa Island, the place usually we play sand. When we reached the Bus Interchange, the queue for Sentosa Bus was very long, almost reached the MRT station ... and half of the queue was not in single layer, it was double or even triple. We couldn't imagine how long we should wait for our turn.

How about catching a taxi? Not a very good idea, because we saw from the bus that the traffic to Sentosa gate was quite bad.

How about walking? Hmmm...
It was about 2 pm, quite hot, ... but ... Ok, let's try ...
So we crossed the road (again, bc we came from the bus stop opposite the bus interchange), walked through Vivo City, almost reached the bridge ...

... and ... ta da ...

There was a Sentosa staff "guarding" the bridge. He told us that currently walk-in to Sentosa Island is not allowed, regarding some constructions on the way. He asked us to catch the Sentosa Bus at the bus interchange .... No, thank you ...

Then we decided to catch a taxi ... but the man again told us to go to taxi stand, he didn't allow us to get taxi right over there, where we were... Oh, No ... The nearest taxi stand is at Vivo City and there was a long queue as well (we've passed it)..

*sigh*

We had no other option. We headed back to where we came from .... but we kept looking backward ... not for a long time, there was a taxi coming from Sentosa Island ... we catched it, told the driver that our destination was Sentosa Island ... and the taxi driver just made a U-turn not far from where we catched it ... :D

Whew! Finally ... we could play with the sand again ... HURRAY !!

sleepover ... @ KKH

Yesterday, 2 pm -- Kate was not well. Mum took her to A&E KKH again. We were there 41 hours earlier and have stayed there for 4 hours till 1 am.

Kate was not very very bad, though. Still can walk slowly, but of course she preferred not to. Mum was so worried because Kate had diarrhea and vomiting for 45 hours, always throwing up everything she took. She looked so restless, so after seen by the doctor, Mum decided to keep her at KKH before she became worse.

Here is the MOST INTERESTING part:
Since our 2nd visit to A&E, which means since the beginning of this story, Kate doesn't vomit anymore. She even finished her 1st meal at ward successfully: 1 full bowl of porridge!

Now she's home, feeling much better, even though her appetite has not come back yet, and feel not as strong as usual. But hopefully she'll be back to normal on Monday so she can enjoy her busy day ...

What a sleepover it is ! !

Kate likes to go to the library, because she likes to read books. She said, "I like to borrow books from the library, since most of the books there are nice."

We usually go to the National Library, since we live nearby.
