stay-at-home holiday

This week Kate is having holiday. She has finished her first term in P1 and has done really well - even in chinese *whew* - as her teachers have told Mum last saturday.

The plan for this holiday was to go for swimming, picnic, Vivo City's playground, Palawan Beach, warehouse toy sale, and visiting friends.

Unfortunately Mum was not feeling well from Sunday morning - and as usual too "lazy" to see a doctor - but getting better with plenty of water and cranberry juice.

Kate had fever on Sunday afternoon. It was down on Tuesday but came back on Wednesday afternoon - not as high as earlier - and today, it was coming with cough and a bit of runny nose.

Luckily we have some books borrowed from library - Kate has 7 for herself.

reward

Instead of lecturing and reminding Kate everyday ... * she knows everything... what to do, what will happen, etc* ... Mum decided to give her reward.

Reward for leaving her stuff? Of course not. It's reward for NOT leaving her stuff. Mum made a small calender and put it on a fridge. If Kate successfully brings all her stuff back home, she will get a sticker *just a simple circle one* to put on the calender. And to make it more challenging, if she does it 5 in a row, she will get another reward *to put in her saving box*.

And on the next 4 weeks, she brought everything back home.
Well done, Kate!

Update:
Since Kate has done it really well for the rest of the term, we decided to discontinue this sticker reward.

neapolitan

One night after dinner

Kate : Shall we have dessert?
Mum : What do you want?
Kate : Chocolate dessert?
Mum : Ok, I love chocolate.
Kate : No wonder your skin is dark.
Mum : How about daddy?
Kate : Daddy likes vanilla. That's why he has fair skin.
Mum : How about you?
Kate : I like chocolate and vanilla. And I like strawberry, too.
Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry ... yummy ...

only 33 days ...

... and it's gone ... Whoaaa :(

Yeah ... BMW (bus, mrt, walk) is the most efficient transportation in this country.

Don't need to add something else (read: bicycle!)
